S-26 Ultima 2 is a cow’s milk-based follow-on formula developed to complement the changing nutritional requirements of babies aged six to twelve months.

The formula is described as containing partially hydrolysed whey protein, in which the milk protein is broken down into smaller components. It may be considered for babies with a family history of cow’s milk allergy or an increased allergy risk when recommended by a paediatrician or qualified healthcare professional.

S-26 Ultima 2 contains 2′-Fucosyllactose, DHA, arachidonic acid, essential amino acids, vitamins and minerals. These nutrients help support normal physical growth, cognitive and visual development, bone health and immune-system function as part of an age-appropriate varied diet.

The formula provides calcium, iron, zinc, iodine, selenium and Vitamins A, C, D, E, K and B-group vitamins. It is intended to be used alongside suitable complementary foods from six months of age.

S-26 Ultima 2 is not a treatment for diagnosed cow’s milk protein allergy and must not be used in infants with galactosaemia.

Important Feeding Notice

Breast milk is the ideal source of nutrition for babies, and breastfeeding should be continued for as long as possible.

S-26 Ultima 2 is suitable only for babies aged six months and older. It must not be used as a substitute for breast milk during the first six months of life.

From six months, follow-on formula should form only part of a varied diet that includes suitable complementary foods.

The number and volume of feeds should be based on the baby’s age, appetite, growth and the amount of complementary food consumed.

Consult a paediatrician or qualified healthcare professional before introducing or changing the baby’s formula, particularly when there is a family history of allergy or a suspected food allergy.

This formula must not be used to treat diagnosed cow’s milk protein allergy.

How to Prepare

Always follow the feeding table and preparation instructions printed on the supplied tin. The exact amount of water and number of scoops must match the product label.

  1. Wash your hands thoroughly and clean the preparation surface.
  2. Wash the feeding bottle or cup, teat, cap and all preparation utensils until no milk residue remains.
  3. Rinse the equipment thoroughly, then boil it for five minutes.
  4. Keep the sterilised equipment covered until required.
  5. In a separate pan, bring fresh drinking water to a rolling boil for five minutes.
  6. Allow the water to cool to the temperature specified on the product packaging.
  7. Pour the exact amount of lukewarm, previously boiled water shown in the feeding table into the sterilised bottle or cup.
  8. Use only the scoop supplied inside the tin.
  9. Fill the scoop with powder and level it using the inner rim without pressing or packing the powder.
  10. Add the exact number of level scoops shown in the feeding table.
  11. Close the bottle and shake thoroughly, or stir the contents of the cup, until the powder has completely dissolved.
  12. Check the temperature on the inside of your wrist before feeding.
  13. Feed immediately after preparation and use within one hour.

Never change the water-to-powder ratio without medical advice. Too much powder may cause dehydration, while too little powder may provide inadequate nutrition.

Prepare only one bottle or cup at a time.

Feeding and Storage Instructions

Discard any formula remaining after feeding. Do not store or reuse an unfinished bottle or cup that has been in contact with the baby’s mouth.

Do not heat prepared formula in a microwave, as uneven heating may create hot spots and cause burns.

Keep the powder, scoop and inner packaging clean and dry.

Store the scoop in the holder inside the tin after use, where provided.

Close the tin tightly after every use and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, moisture and excessive temperatures.

Do not refrigerate the powder.

Use the contents within three weeks after opening or within the period printed on the supplied physical pack if different.

Always hold the baby while feeding. Never leave a baby unattended with a bottle, as this may increase the risk of choking.

Introduce a feeding cup when the baby is developmentally ready.
