Similac Arize Gold is a nutritionally complete, hypoallergenic infant formula for the dietary management of babies with diagnosed cow’s milk protein allergy or other conditions where an extensively hydrolysed formula is medically indicated.

Suitable from birth to 12 months, the formula uses extensively hydrolysed rice protein as an alternative to cow’s milk protein. The rice protein is broken down into smaller components to reduce its allergenic potential and support tolerance in infants who cannot consume standard cow’s milk-based formula.

Similac Arize Gold is a food for special medical purposes and should be used only on the advice and under the supervision of a paediatrician, dietitian, or other qualified healthcare professional.

The healthcare professional should determine the appropriate feeding amount and frequency according to the infant’s age, weight, condition, and individual nutritional requirements.

How to Prepare

Always follow the preparation and feeding instructions printed on the product packaging, as instructions may vary between markets.

1. Wash your hands and thoroughly clean the preparation surface.
2. Wash and rinse the feeding bottle, teat, cap, and all preparation utensils.
3. Sterilise the feeding equipment according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Where boiling is used, boil the equipment for 10 minutes.
4. Boil fresh drinking water and allow it to cool for no more than 30 minutes. Do not use repeatedly boiled or artificially softened water.
5. Pour the required amount of warm, previously boiled water into the sterilised feeding bottle.
6. Fill the enclosed scoop with powder and level it using the back of a clean, dry knife. Do not press or pack the powder into the scoop.
7. Add one level scoop of powder for every 30ml of water, unless the instructions on the supplied tin state otherwise.
8. Close the bottle and shake gently until the powder has completely dissolved.
9. Fit the sterilised teat and check the temperature on the inside of your wrist before feeding.
10. Feed immediately after preparation.

Incorrect preparation, dilution, storage, or handling may make the baby unwell. Never add extra powder or water, and only use the scoop supplied with the product.

Feeding and Storage Instructions

Prepare each feed immediately before it is required whenever possible.

Discard any formula remaining in the bottle within one hour after feeding begins. Do not store or reuse unfinished formula that has been in contact with the baby’s mouth.

Do not heat prepared formula in a microwave, as this may create hot spots that can burn the baby’s mouth.

Store the unopened pack at room temperature in a cool, dry place.

After opening, keep the container tightly closed and store it in a cool, dry place. Do not refrigerate the powder.

Use the contents within the period stated on the supplied product packaging. For packs labelled for use within two weeks of opening, discard any remaining powder after two weeks or on the expiry date, whichever comes first.

Seek urgent medical care if the infant develops breathing difficulty, facial or lip swelling, severe vomiting, unusual drowsiness, or another serious allergic reaction.

Consult the baby’s healthcare professional if symptoms such as persistent vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation, blood in the stool, poor feeding, rash, discomfort, or inadequate weight gain occur.

Do not use the product if the packaging, foil pouch, or seal is open or damaged.
